Description
About Us:
Vitalist Inc. is the exclusive brand licensee for Reebok smartwatches in the Americas. We operate at the intersection of wearable technology, fitness, and user experience.
We’re building VitalOS, the app-driven operating system powering next-generation consumer devices. As we prepare for global launches, we’re investing in polished, intuitive, and high-performing interfaces that users love to interact with daily.
About the Role:
This position is based in Vancouver, BC. As a UX & Quality Specialist, you will own the bridge between design and implementation. You’ll take concepts from Figma and ensure they become intuitive, high-quality experiences in the product. This means crafting interfaces, iterating on interactions, and performing hands-on QA to ensure that what ships meets our standards for usability, clarity, and functional excellence.
You will contribute across the full design lifecycle, prototyping, refining, and validating designs, while ensuring that every interaction feels right in users’ hands.
This role is part-time, providing flexibility while giving you direct exposure to a fast-growing wearable tech product and the chance to see your designs live with real users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the design-to-production workflow, create and refine interfaces, then validate they meet functional and visual standards
- Design smartwatch interfaces, companion apps, and watch faces with a focus on usability and polish
- Perform hands-on QA testing, identifying edge cases, usability issues, and functional bugs before features ship
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure your designs are implemented accurately and efficiently
- Contribute to the design system, creating reusable components and maintaining consistency across the product
- Iterate on interactions and micro-interactions to refine the experience for real-world use
- Advocate for the user at every stage, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and intuitive behavior
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design (mobile apps, wearables, health tech, or consumer products)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating polished interfaces and thoughtful design decisions
- Familiarity with mobile app ecosystems (iOS/Android)
- Proficiency in Figma (or Sketch / Adobe XD) with solid prototyping skills
- Hands-on mindset, you care about what ships, not just what looks good in a mockup
- Understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and accessibility
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly with engineers and product teammates
- Proactive approach, you identify problems and drive them to resolution
This role combines UI/UX design with hands-on QA, giving you a unique perspective on both design and execution. If you have a keen eye for detail, experience designing for wearables or mobile products, and enjoy turning ideas into intuitive, elegant interfaces, you’ll thrive here.
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing for small screens or wearable devices
- Motion design or micro-interaction prototyping
- Experience with hands-on QA/testing or usability validation
Benefits:
- Competitive pay and performance-based growth opportunities.
- Flexibility and autonomy to get your work done.
- Work alongside a supportive team that values quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Join a company dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level.
- Direct mentorship from an experienced UX/UI designer, gaining hands-on guidance and insight into professional design practice
